Our 30-day free trial gives you full access to all of Songpact’s powerful features. Follow this guide to make the most of your experience and explore everything Songpact has to offer.
Step 1: Sign Up for the 30-Day Free Trial
Getting started is easy:
- Visit www.songpact.com.
- Select either the Flexible or Individual plan, and choose whether you wish to pay monthly or annually.
- Click Start a Free Trial to create your account.
- Enter your payment details. Don’t worry – you won’t be charged until the trial ends, unless you cancel beforehand.
Once your account is set up, you’ll have 30 days of free access to the Songpact platform, along with 2 free contract credits.
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
Your profile information will automatically populate essential fields in any contracts you create, making this a crucial step. Here’s what to do:
- On the Profile page, fill out the required information.
- If you contract through a company, toggle on the Your Company switch and provide your company details.
- If you’re a published songwriter, enter your publisher’s details in the Your Publishing section. If you’re unpublished, toggle the Unpublished (Copyright Control) switch.
- Select your Performance Rights Organisation (PRO) from the dropdown. If you’re unaffiliated, select Unregistered.
- Enter your unique songwriter identification number or, if unknown, toggle the Not Known switch.
Step 3: Invite Your Collaborators
Connecting with collaborators is key to getting started with Songpact. Here’s how to connect with them:
- Click on the Invite Collaborator button on your Collaborators dashboard.
- Enter your collaborator’s name, email address, and an optional message.
- Your collaborator will receive an invitation to connect with you. If they are not already a Songpact user they will be invited to join Songpact, and can also begin their own 30-day free trial.
Step 4: Create Your First Project
To create your first project:
- Click the Add Project button on your Projects dashboard.
- Enter the project’s details, including the name, type, track titles, and any artwork.
- Click Add to complete the process.
Step 5: Create Your First Songpact
Now you’re ready to create your first contract:
- Click on the Create Songpact button on your dashboard.
- Select the type of contract you need (e.g., co-writer agreement, producer contract).
- Follow the guided Q&A to input key terms and create your initial proposal.
- Submit the contract proposal to your collaborator for review.
Your first credit will be deducted from your 2 free credits when you submit your initial proposal. From there, you can track its progress through negotiation and signing.
Step 6: Negotiate, E-Sign, and Store Contracts
After submitting a Songpact proposal, use Songpact’s real-time negotiator tool to collaborate on terms with your collaborator. Once both parties agree, the platform will automatically generate a draft agreement for final review before moving to the e-signature phase. All signed contracts are securely stored in your dashboard for easy access at any time.
Step 7: Use Remaining Credits or Upgrade
If you don’t use both of your free credits during your 30-day free trial, don’t worry – any unused credits will roll over if you decide to continue with a paid subscription. However, if you cancel your subscription during the trial, your remaining credits will expire once the trial ends.
If you run out of credits during your trial, you can easily purchase more by clicking Add Credits at the bottom of the main menu.
