We’re excited to announce that Priyanka Khimani has joined Songpact as Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor.
One of the most respected legal voices in entertainment, Priyanka brings a wealth of experience championing artists’ rights across music, film and television, and now joins our mission to make music contracts faster, fairer and more accessible for creators around the world.
As reported in Rolling Stone India, Priyanka will lead Songpact’s global expansion and partnership strategy, tailoring the platform to meet the needs of creators in diverse markets.
“This is not just about creating a digital platform for contracts,” says Khimani. “It’s about reimagining a smarter, more intuitive business affairs infrastructure for artists, music businesses and rights holders.”
A longtime advocate for equity in entertainment, Priyanka’s approach is grounded in practical experience and clear insight. Her message is direct:
“The music industry doesn’t have a talent gap. It has an access and affordability gap. Contracts are the foundation to one of the most valuable asset classes we’re seeing in modern times. But access shouldn’t be a privilege – it should be the norm.”
Priyanka is also a board member at Songtradr and Beatdapp, and founder of Women of Music India (WoMI), a non-profit community supporting women in the Indian music ecosystem. She was named to Billboard’s 2025 Top Music Lawyers and 2023 Women in Music lists.
